Stretch Marks.

Postby yoyogirl88 » Wed Jul 16, 2008 2:49 am

I have started to lose some cm and yet I have new stretch marks forming any advice. The are on my arms at the front near the pit and REALLY noticable. I know I cant change it but they are brand new, some even formed today. I have been doing some lightweights but im not sure if that would be enough to explain it.

the only thing i can think of is if you've had some recent weight gain prior to deciding to lose weight.
i know u can get stretch marks if you gain weight quicker than your body can keep up.
apply vitamine E creme, they will fade in time.

If you find out let me know :D .
In all seriousness I think it's too late for me as I got most of mine when I was pregnant. Hubby said (at the time) that he wouldn't be needing a new street directory that year as my belly would suffice  . Men  .

Maybe you have always had them and they're just becoming more noticable? When they aren't stretched out as much they are easier to see, when they are stretched tightly they may seem lighter, when you lose weight they get slightly darker (well atleast thats what mine have done).. Bio Oil and Cocoa Butter are good for stretch marks, i've been meaning to get myself some!!!

Bio oil is the best!!! I've been using them on my scars since my accident and it works a treat. I've heard lots of people have the same results with stretch marks.

I second Bio Oil - nothing comes close to it and being chronically clumsy (and scarred as a result!) and having stretch marks you've just reminded me to try it on my scar on my cleavage (of all places, a shard of glass whacked me when I broke a tall lamp I was carrying through a door way - it's a really bad keloid type scar too which is unusual for my type of skin).
