My friend lost heaps of weight using Lite n Easy and has kept it off for years. I must say I was skeptical of the program beforehand, but seeing the results she achieved I'm more than impressed!

I'd do it myself except that I simply don't have the money. If you frequently buy take-away it works out not too bad in comparison price-wise, but if you're like me and make all your meals yourself on a shoestring budget then it's not a feasible option.

It's also not good if you have a family to feed aswell. Imagine spending the money on the meals for yourself, then buying groceries for your family on top of it!!

I'm a bachelor and couldn't recommend them more. The food is great (compared to what I'd normally have) the portions are controlled (compared to what I'd normally have) and the variety is huge (compared to what I'd normally have). I find it quite good price-wise as I only get 10 soups and 10 meals in a bowl at a time, not the whole week-long plan. I guess it is a little $$ if you go for the weekly plan. still, I really enjoy them for both convenience and taste. (compared to what I'd normally have). hehe

here's my opinion:-

PROS: L&E is one of the better options on the market - the food is normal food (not shakeS or pills or airy fairy stuff), its portion controlled and it tastes really nice (and I am quite low to mid range fussy). I think I lost 15 kgs in 4 or so months. The convenience is great, because I was working too many hours to cook and I was eating waaay too much junk food. It "forced" me to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks which I find hard. Delivered to my door, didn't have to food shop. No washing up, dinner takes 2 minutes. I was able to go "cold turkey" on my junk food and soft drink addiction because it didn't fit my plan and I had everything already planned for the day, no need to deviate

CONS: Got bored after 4 or so months, dinners are frozen, for me, I had to do the 'whole' lot otherwise I would be tempted to get other 'wrong' stuff. It was expensive (it was reasonable for what you are getting, just hard to find the money), still have to go shopping for cleaning products, personal products, household items etc, dinners are frozen, variety limited and gets boring

My biggest problem is that as soon as I stopped (despite my best intentions), I threw in a coke here and there, then a potato chip, then a meat pie and soon I was back to my old habits. I didn't change my old habits at all and therefore I put the weight back on... well, 10 kgs. Then I decided make the changes myself for good and break the old habits and I think that is the real answer.

Hope that helps a bit....

I would have to agree there too, it doesn't teach you anything about preparing your own meals etc. There's no thinking involved.

It's ok for me, I don't think at the best of times =)

I will agree that it does get boring though. Lately i've been throwing some oregano and chives on, and playing with seasonings just to mix it up. But then again I'm easily amused.

Oh look! a bug!

i did it for a few weeks then started to think all the microwaved meals tasted the same, i missed the crunch of fresh vegies and the feeling of tender meat
it would be great for people who dont like cooking their own food :)

Hi everyone

Thanks for your input.

I have ordered the 5 dinner plan - so do my own breakfast and lunch. With the 5 dinners, still leaves me two dinners to prepare and eat the same as hubby and kids! Hopefully this will help at the beginning of my journey! :)

I had a bit of a rant and a rave about it in my progress thread -head over to the maintenance crew section if you're interested. I think they should just call it "Lite and Tasty"... cos it's not easy... because it's too tasty :(

Hi everyone, I have been having Lite n Easy for the passed 5 weeks, the first week I ordered the 1200 calorie breakfast, lunch, diner and snacks. I found this didn't work for me. I love the dinners though. I have these every night, there is so much to choose from and I have only found 2 meals I do not like. I used to buy Weight watchers frozen dinners but found them to be getting boring in the end, so now I switch between lite n easy meals and the weight watchers meals. I have a partner and 3 sons so having the frozen dinners works well for me. I buy the 14 dinners for $124. Works well for me then my family doesn't miss out on the meals they like.
