I'm going through the same thing at the moment so you are not alone, I have also been hungry a lot the last week so perhaps it's all tied in together.

Ditto on all points. Of course the worst thing is that at TTOTM I am in NO emotional state to deal with 2 kg weight increases and persistent hunger. The only upside is when the scales magically drop back to normal after that week.

It's definitely fluid retention that causes the weight increase. And the increased appetite is hormonal so it's not just your imagination. Don't worry, you're not suffering alone!

I guess thats what we have to think about before we go dipping our hot little hands into the biscuit jar :P .

I thought I would just add that it is only the last 5 months or so that I have been regular since before I got pregnant and put on heaps of weight so it's like I have to 'tune into my body' in that department.
I would only have a period every 4 or 5 months and then have to take hormone tablets to stop them.
So it's a bit of a learning curve all over again.

Yes, I'm exactly the same - the hunger is terrible (and so is my mood  ) and the retention is a downer! The lethergy doesn't help the situation either  However, due to my irregularity, this doesn't last a week either, it's more like 2-3 as I have a 6 week cycle

TTOTM sucks. The few days before it starts and up to a week after for me. I hate it so much that its not funny! Means i can lost up to 2 weeks out of every month for weight loss as my hormones are crazy. :?

Its also because of the swell of your uterus that makes you heavier also. You have to remember that there is blood loss during TTOTM so ofcourse your going to weigh less. The only thing is, in a few weeks time its all going to come back round after round
