Hiya guys- just wondering if anybody else has trouble eating as many calories as CK suggests? It's recommended 1520 for me, and I got close (1380) as an intake, but then my exercise took it down to 870- almost half of what was recommended....should I be eating more, or happy that I'm working off some of my intake?? or both?

Hope everyone's having a great weekend :P

I rarely to never eat back my exercise calories so I don't bother.
If I felt hungry I would but I don't.

I used to have problems eating the amount they suggested but I did things arse about and started on low calories and I then have built myself up to a normal amount. I am now eating more than the CK recommended.

Thanks Shalimar, I am new to counting calories for the RIGHT reasons!!! I appreciate your comments, I figured that if I was hungry I'd eat more, but since I wasn't, I didn't!!!

It's actually kinda cool knowing I can eat a bit more if I want to :D

I usually don't eat as many as they suggest and I like that when you add in your exercise it brings your intake down. I figure that if you're not consuming as much as they suggest, you must be doing something right! lol

I like the safety net of having a few spare calories, particularly when it's cold and the end of the day :P .

and CSI night when there's chippies around

*still trying to decide whether or not I'm going to eat them!!!* (I know hubby will open the big 200g packet and that I rightfully own 100g of them...but...is it worth it?)

The voices are arguing  Do it, longy, you've exercised a fair chunk of your butt off this week!!! But then again longy, you DID eat that popcorn the other night :|

100 gms. isn't worth it, not to me anyway, but if you must have some just weigh out 20 gms. and savour them slowly.

Funny thing is I used to polish of a packet of chips in no time and I never really bothered much with chocolate, but since I have started losing weight I have some chocolate every single night now  .

Calorie King's resident dietician reccomends eating back eating back half your exercise calories after the first 200 I think. So if you do 870 calories of exercise you would eat back 335 ((870-200)/2=335)
I generally dont eat mine back, but i guess if your hungry it gives you some room to eat more :)
