I'm a newbie to the board, female 23 yo, 166 cm and 65 kg. My goal is to lose 10 kg by the end of december.
I thought i'd kick off my weightloss by doing Brett Elliot's Ultimate Herbal Detox - if you haven't heard of it, it involves fruit, veges, natural yoghurt and 40 pills a day (no bananas or potato). After 4 days of an upset stomach I had to give up on the pills, but am still following the diet.
The only problem is even after this hell I've put on 500g! How is that possible with such a low calorie intake?? It seems like my metabolism is destroyed, the people i'm doing the detox with have lost about 5kg each.
I'm looking for advice, some friends have told me i'd be far better off on a higher protein low carb diet combined with an exercise binge.
And how do I get my damn metabolism to actually burn off what I eat instead of storing it like a bear for hibernation?
