How to kill the hunger before sleep?

Postby Awaha » Fri Oct 08, 2010 1:11 pm

Hi guys,
just hoping to get some ideas here...
Currently I am using the Lite'n'easy meals 5 days a week with Sat and Sun as our off days to cook or eat out for socialising. I am using the 1500cal meal plans at the moment, as I found the 1800cal plans were too much for me, and I end up bringing food home from work.
Monday to Friday I would (or try to) go to gym with my girlfriend after work;
However the classes either starts at 5:30, 6:30 or 7:15.
For the 6:30 I would go to class hungry and eat dinner around 7:30, go to bed around 11~12 feeling ok
For the 5:30 classes, I will try to leave a snack from my meal plans till later before I finish, so that when I get to gym, I wont be hungry, eat my dinner around 6:30 and go to bed around 11~12 feelling slightly hungry...
For the 7:15 classes, I will eat my dinner around 6pm, gives me enough time to digest the food then go to the class (normally its Body Pump) and I would get home feeling ok, but get really hungry by the time I try to sleep (like last night)... I dont like to eat my dinner so late either, as I will go to sleep feeling too full...

Can anyone give me a suggestion on how I can kill these hunger pangs before I sleep? I have used Metamucil before bed, and found that it did quieten down the belly beast before, but now it seems like its no longer have much affect anymore...

I know 1500cal is suppose to be too low for me and I should be on 1800, I though by going on the 1500, it will give me some leeway on extra food when required.... just not before bed :(

thanks

Could you have a small snack after the class - you won't have that heavy fullness, but give your stomach something to nibble on?

Maybe a few glasses of water to make it think there's something in there (though then you'd have the getting up in the middle of the night for wees problem)

15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

when I was typing my original thread, I did have a light bulb moment to why i dont eat after the class... but I guess I just didnt know what to eat...

I guess Im very good at being told what to eat, then to know what I can eat... my girlfriend said no eating after the class, so I obediently listened... but when she was asleep I guess I was tempted....

ah... will power... I need you to be stronger...
