If you can last that, then they will subside to a more manageable level. It does get easier once you form the twin habits of not giving in to the cravings, and not eating junkfood.
When I was going through a craving phase I'd take the offending article, be it a biscuit, pie or chocolate bar and imagine it as poison, the fat and sugar doing damage to me.
I would visualise the fat from the biscuit coursing through my veins and depositing itself in thick layers inside my beating heart, and then imagine the pain of a heart attack and the regret I would feel in my dying moments that I had not resisted the temptation.
I would imagine the sugar from the chocolate eating away at my pancreas and other internal organs, and then imagine a shortened lifespan due to living with Type 2 Diabetes, and, once again, the regret at not having chosen to take control of my health before it was too late.
Drastic? I dunno, it worked.
