which scales are the best to get??

Postby bear » Thu Sep 20, 2007 2:44 pm

Hey there!! My scales are broken!! It said I weighted a ridiculous amount of weight!! I weighted 25kgs more than I should!! Or could it be the batterie? I don't know? :? Does anyone recommend some scales that are good and accurate? Or should I forego the scales and go off how my clothes fit? I'm really close to my goal weight ( probably a couple of kg) :) Sarah

Clothes and a tape measure are more motivating idea, (though ensure you measure in exactly the same position each time to be acurate).

It sucks when you flog your self and at the end of the week see a poor result. Being muscle growth, water retention numerous reasons out, and this is where alot of people chuck the towel in. I think that doing it weekly is a bad idea, do your clothes and tape measure fortnightly and scales monthly. Seing a figure monthly it also sounds more impressive, instead ot i lost 1.25 each week, i lost 5 kilos. A longer time frame will also help balance out those muscle growths etc i mentioned earlier

Do you go the gym, if so use there scales and just theirs so there is no variance

ive heard the weight watchers scales are really accurate- the metal ones not the glass ones. the battery for my scales (a cheap home collection set of scales from woolies) are hard to come across so i reckon id be up for a new pair of scales soon enough!!

Thanks guys!!!
Yeah I do gym it!! They have good scales there but I don't think they weigh me accurately as I always appear lighter?? :o And why am I complaining?? :) they are the ones where you add the weight and watch the ruler become level!!

I have digital scales which I bought from Kmart. They weigh me the same as the ones at the Gym. I think I paid 29.95 for them.
