I only had this thought the other day when I was holidaying in Apollo Bay. I always had a great figure until I had children & I put on more weight with each child. (I've had 4 children) So I guess you could say that I've been overweight for over 6 years & slim for 27 years. My Mum had a great figure until she had children. She was slim for 21 years. She's almost 58 & she's been obese for almost 37 years. She's been on & off so many diets. Mum has been overweight longer than she has been slim.
I want to be skinny longer than I am fat
I also meant to say with this post that I also know people who have NEVER been slim - been overweight since they were little kids. So they have never known what it's like to be thin. Well this affirmation applies to them also. They might be in their 20's, 30's, 40's, if they lose weight now, they'll get to their 60's, 70's 80's & they'll have achieved being slim longer than they were overweight. I just wanted to acknowledge that group of people also.
Also Mum was given steroid medication for her arthritis which caused such a weight gain for her. That's one of the reasons she's battled with weightloss. I've been trying to get her to join this forum. I guess she will when she's ready.
