One step at a time...

a thought that slows my mind down and stops it from wanting too much too soon which leads to me giving up much faster...

I want to be skinny longer than I am fat

I only had this thought the other day when I was holidaying in Apollo Bay. I always had a great figure until I had children & I put on more weight with each child. (I've had 4 children) So I guess you could say that I've been overweight for over 6 years & slim for 27 years. My Mum had a great figure until she had children. She was slim for 21 years. She's almost 58 & she's been obese for almost 37 years. She's been on & off so many diets. Mum has been overweight longer than she has been slim.

I want to be skinny longer than I am fat

Obesity, at the moment, is part of my life. It's not the rest of my life

At the moment I'm obese. I'm not ok with it but I accept that it's something I've endured in my life. But I'm not carrying the extra weight for the rest of my life. I now know what it's like to be overweight & I can sympathise with other people struggling with weight issues. I will use this life experience to help, encourage & inspire others as I complete this phase in my life. This phase being my weightloss journey. Obesity is part of my life now but it won't be for the rest of my life.
