I have just joined the gym and am wondering if this interval training I am doing is going to fast track my weight loss. On the treadmill, walk for say 4 mins then run for a min and a half etc etc, then walk and build up. I know it is a good cardio but am wondering if interval training is really good. I worked up a good sweat doing this and felt great.

From what I've heard, interval training is the best for getting fit, and I've noticed a huge improvement since I started doing it. My heart is feeling great too, I have a resting of 45-55, albeit, some of it was from previous fitness work.

Thanks Juddy, do you mind if I ask you how exactly you do your interval training, eg treadmill or whatever and do you walk/run and for how long etc. Thats great that it is working for you, I felt excellent yesterday after my treadmill workout. Thanks again
