i haven't read that one, but i have read a few studies on HIIT (high intensity interval training).

Its what i use now, on the treadmill and bike :) i am all for it. No more 45min workouts for me, i do 20mins with 90secs doing a slower speed and 30secs doing a faster one!

It burns fat for longer after the workout :) and i get my heart rate up to 160 sometimes :)

so yeah i reckon its great :)

Yay for HIIT :) Apart from all the other benefits mentioned, I find that it helps keep me entertained and gives me something to think about while I'm working out... like trying to remember how long I have till I can change the level up/down. Especially good if the telly is boring :roll:
