Work Lunch Hour

Postby oostevens » Mon Dec 17, 2007 10:40 pm

Ok, so I want to get stuck into this working out thing. What can I do in my lunch hour?

I only have 1 hr, and there are no gyms that I am willing to join just yet.

Should I walk? or...are there any other ideas you guys have?

i like going for walks at lunchtime - i find it really clears my head for the afternoon & gets me out of the office. do you have a pedometer? maybe if you're having stress with your neck & stuff, then you could wear a pedometer and aim for the 10,000 steps a day till you're feeling better?

I only have half an hour for lunch, so I'm limited to walking because I don't have time to run or go to the gym or have a shower!

If you have an hour though, maybe a short run and a shower? Or bike riding or roller blading or something like that, but that's a bit harder to organise.

I have a 30 min lunch and go for a 20 min walk. I am lucky though that I work out in the burbs, so the hustle and bustle of the city isnt an issue for me. I work right in the middle of a housing estate, so it's quite peaceful to go out for a walk during lunch, it is a different story during school holidays though !

I vote the walk too!! Its simple and free all you need is 2 feet and a heartbeat as the saying goes. Most of my exercise is plain old walking.

Well a lot of people use my work as a walking track and if i had a 1hr id be out there, i get half hour and it takes me nearly that long to eat my lunch! Im a slow eater
