What songs get you pumped?

Postby Fiona25 » Sat Dec 29, 2007 11:33 am

You know the feeling, as though you can't run/walk another step or do 1 more rep of weights then a song comes on and suddenly you feel as though you can run a marathon!

What songs do this for you?

My main one is hands down 'eye of the tiger' man that gets me pumped
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

The Pretender.....Foo Fighters
Candyman...Christina Aguilera
Stronger......Kanye West
Dont Hold Back....Potbelleez (hehe)
I Alone.....Live

I agree!

The other song that always fires me up is Placebo's 'Every Me Every You'

most things matchbox twenty are good 4 me :D especially when disease or an angry-ish song comes on :P i also love 'an honest mistake' by the bravery, i've got an awesome remix, as well as 'somebody told me' by the killers - any killers remixes are awesome :P hmm what else, when you were young (the killers) remix, torture me (red hot chili peppers), take me out/remix (franz ferdinand), beating like a drum (eskimo joe) :D

I like working out to the MOS annuals. Good generic mix of fast beats and heavy bass. I don't even notice the time passing now. I will be honest though, the first 2 weeks it was a case of "when this song finishes I'm done".

I was just thinking about starting a thread like this when at the gym last night!

here is my iPod gym list... I need to update it.

Keep Me A Secret
Raspberry Swirl - Tori Amos
Push the Button - Sugababes
Left Outside Alone (Club Edit) - Anastasia
Sorry - Madonna
Knock Em Out - Lily Allen
Mr Brightside - The Killers
Walk Away - Kelly Clarkson
Thrown Down - Fleetwood Mac
From The Sea - Eskimo Joe
Silence RMX - Delerium
Rain King - Counting Crows
Dont Cha - Pussycat Dolls (this is probably my fave gym song as it makes me pumped)
Hands Open - Snow Patrol
Black Betty - Spiderbait
Obsession - Amiel
Shameless - Ani Difranco
Hung Up - Madonna
Turn off the Light - Nelly Furtado
I Dont Need A Man - pussycat dolls
Red Dress - Sugababes (but I never get this far or I skip this song).

Some of it needs removing entirely as I skip it when at the gym (and that takes coordination!).

The best thing to listen to is Skitzmix, move your body is my personal favourite but anything from that cd is good, it works unbelievably well when you are running or jogging, it actually makes able to run further than i would otherwise.
i recommend you download it and give it a listen next time your doing a workout.

I downloaded a track off the internet a while back and have been listening to that while treadmilling.... it's mad, I don't know how to describe it, but it's got sounds and rythms (sp?? :? ) in it that do something to your brain somehow. I don't know what it is, but it fills you with such energy!!

I did a bit of a visualisation excercise while treadmilling/listening the other day. I just imagined the fat on my back, which is really bothering me at the moment. I saw how it looked (like soft yellow wobbly cheese haha), then saw it getting hotter as my body heated up and started sweating. Then it melted (looked like melted butter, ew) and I saw it being washed away down a sink with heaps of boiling water on top of it!! Weird though, I can't feel the fat there anymore. It is still there of course, but I can't feel it :o

Don't kill me if this is wrong, just a guess, I think I got it from... http://www.attractionaccelerator.com - sorry my spelling's all over the place today
