Ideas for exercising in the rain???

Postby Fiona25 » Sat Jan 05, 2008 1:50 pm

Hey everyone,

Its raining here today and is expected to do continue over the next few days.

Today i've done fitness circuit at the gym and laps in the indoor pool, but thats only 1hr, and due to my pledge this month I want to get another 1/2 hour in. Any ideas for indoor activity? I can do upper body weights and things but i'm not sure I have the energy, but I will do it if I don't get any ideas.

*yawns* maybe I should go put a Rocky video on to pump me up

What about cleaning? Be vigorous... and you'll have a sparkling house.
I sometimes use cleaning as a form of exercise... so many other benefits from it too :)

Thanks guys!

Nope, no DVD's and I did most of my housework yesterday.

BUT, I think I am going to brave the rain, walk up to feed my horses and do their water, then come back and have a nice hot shower then laze around in my new, very soft robe for the rest of the day

Who knows, Rocky might even inspire me to do even more than 90mins today LOL

You could wrap some phone books in a towel and use it as a fitness step. Then just put some music on and step away for half an hour.

^ That is a GREAT idea! I'm definitely going to use that one next week :D

I ended up going for a walk to feed and water my babies, so all done today, thank god!

Hi,
What i do when i dont have much time or space is do a circuit. I pick 10 moves.....eg, pushups, squats, star jumps...anything, and i do it for 1 minute each without a break.
Depending on your time you may do this two or three times, and there you have a fat burning circuit.
If your stuck for space pick moves that are on the spot.
Hope this helps!
