does this sound like it would be effective?
Yes. Not only would you be getting the benefit of training with a qualified trainer who can push you to do things you wouldn't think you are capable of you also get to exercise with other people. Fantastic way to meet people and makes exercising more fun. Does anyone else use a personal trainer? Either as an individual or group session?
Yes I have a PT. I see him on Tuesday mornings and Thursday mornings. I also have a running group I run with too, purely for the social factor though What costs are "average"?
My PT has a package deal of 10 sessions for $500. This package deal is considerably cheaper than paying for each session individually, as he charges $65 per session. What should I look out for?
Maybe ask if you can attend one session and see what the trainer is like, whether you will gel and get on with the other people too. Also ask about peoples results. Ask what type of qualification the trainer has and how long they have been training for etc.
