Thanks Helen! I read your post & said to myself well if you can do it when you were 180kg then I can do it too & went & put my shoes on straight away.
It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be but boy did I get puffed out! I did 4kms in 35mins, not sure if its good or not but I have a starting point now. Wasn't all flat either had a few hills in there too. Quite impressed with myself for just getting out there & doing it!
Nope - I just did the Melbourne Run4Kids which is 14.2 km's and I'm still 40+ kilos overweight. Sure its tougher on the body when your carrying more weight but just take it slow, have fun and enjoy yourself. Also focus on stretching and warm ups and cool downs.
