need some help with an exercise plan??

Postby anthony88 » Sun Apr 06, 2008 11:40 pm

hey guys, i need some advice

the only exercise i have been doin is on my treadmil at home.. this is what ive been doin
10% incline for 30 mintutes, at 5.5km an hour and 8km an hour every 5 minutes just for one minute.. im quite enjoying it, and its givin me one heck of a work out.

just wondering though should i be doin other exercise appart from the treadmil, i dont have time to go out of the house and do exercise so what ever i do will have to be at home.. or should i weight another 5kg until im under 120kg.. im really not sure.. i guess mabe i should be doin weights or something to help prevent loose skin????

not sure, your help is very appreciated??

Yep cardio is great but you should not only be doing that alone. You need to be doing some muscle work to.
But as i see a gym member ship is your goal for under 120k that shouldn't be far off. One word of advice though is get a gym buddy as its boring as hell by yourself, no matter how motivated you are. The machines are ok as you can listen to music or whatever but not the weights. Plus you need a spotter anyway.

Just wondering what you mean by dont have time to leave the house for exercise?

Things you can do at home are situps, pushups, steps, leg ups etc. or get yourself some small free weights and start doing it early. there are heaps of things you can do around the house.

Sounds to me like a life style change is the most important thing that needs to happen. Im not having a go mate but how will you have time for the gym unless your employment changes? Its a very expensive commitment to make, for a good gym my wife and i were paying $120 a month on a discounted rate.

Hi Anthony, thats great that your trying for a job that will be 40 hours a week, you'll have so much extra time you won't know what to do with yourself. If you are gonna have that much time a gym membershhip will probably work out great. With most gym memeberships you get a fitness assesment and a complimentary pt session where they will sort out the most appropriate exercise plan for you. That way you can do both cardio and Strength.
