My husband does night work and generally sleeps until mid-afternoon. We are lucky with our gym that it is open until 8-9pm on weekends and 11pm on weekdays, so he will be able to go in the early evening (he has only joined this week).

I don't work nights, but I do work evenings till 10PM once in a while. I just ride the bike to work 3 days a week, so that's my exercise...

I used to do all sorts of shifts - day, night, mornings, graveyards, etc, often all in the one week (casual work, full time hours, as a cocktail waitress at crown ca.sino). I can't remember to be honest what I did in regards to excercise. I don't think I ever would have gone after work, so I think it was just before work and days off....

Shift work is hard :(

Know of any 24 hour gyms, that could work :)

Thanks for the responses :)

Im considering going after work at like 5:30am, I think a local gym opens then. Good thing though with an income I can afford things like gym membership :D

i dont thing after doing the night shift you should immediately got to work out arly in the morning. i feels you should have a complete rest and after getting up you should have some exercises, coz the body cycle is disturbed with night shift, so already the body is doing something extra to adjust it, you shouldnt over stretch it..what say?

If you are working at night, you have no energy to exercise but to get sleep. The best time to exercise is after you have a good sleep

Quite true!

The work I do luckily is quite physical and I'm making effort not to eat what my co workers do ie energy drinks, pies etc....

I take a few sandwhiches with some fruit, fruit juice and drink a few bottles of water over the course of the night.

Thanks for responses :)
