Exercise while Pregnant

Postby emma21 » Wed Jul 12, 2006 11:18 am

Hi Everyone

Sorry I havent been around - I'm about 15 weeks pregnant so I have put weightloss and exercise on the backburner for a bit - which I shouldnt have

Anyway, I need to get back into exercise (and will focus more on healthy eating once I have started exercise).

Any suggestions?

I have been really really really slack

Have a search for some pregnancy health websites. From memory, gentle exercise that doesn't require too much balance and doesn't raise your body temp too much is good - walking is good for that, no bike riding though.

15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

hi emma congrats on the coming bubby
if u are a gym goer some of them have pregnancy classes
or try your local physio they should be able to give u some gentle exercise programs
Even though its winter if u have a indoor pool near swimming is great exercise while pregnant as the water relaxs and doesnt stress your muscles as much
Hope it helps
