Squats! Help!

Postby Noddy » Tue Sep 01, 2009 12:41 pm

Hi Everyone,

I bought a squat rack the other day thinking it would be some good exercise, but here is my problem. I duno what im doing! lol so here are a few questions.

how low should I go?

Is there anything I need to be watching out for when I do them?

How much weight should I use, and how many reps/ sets etc?

and are there any exercises that I can do to isolate and strengthen the muscles that are required to perform a squat (notparticulary strong in the core/thigh area lol)

THANKS EVERYONE!

The best way to describe a well performed squat is to imagine your using a public toliet but don't want to actually touch the seat. Get my drift ?.

I find it's easier to put my arms out in front, make sure your knees don't go in front of your feet and put all your weight in your heels. Go down to around a normal sitting position (or just off).

I hope this helps.
