Postby countrymum83 » Thu Oct 07, 2010 3:28 pm

Just wondering whats the main amount of exercise that is enough for one day, to help with weightloss... Im currently doing in between 1.5 hours and 2 hours a day of mixed exercises, is 2 hours to much?

He he! I say no, but I do about 2 hours a day as well.

Generally an hour per day of moderate-vigorous intensity exercise is pretty realistic and I'd say fairly average for the people on here? yes? No?

They say 30min per day 3 (?) times per week to maintain cardiovascular fitness, so you'd need at least that.

Basically it depends on your energy intake. If you're eating a chocolate cake per day, you're going to need to do a heck of a lot more exercise than 2 hours to burn that sucker off! If all you're eating is 2 sticks of celery you'll struggle to do 2 minutes of exercise per day.

Yeah i dont find 2 hours all that much

I usually do either a kick boxing boot camp dvd in the morning which usually goes for about 45 mins, but 5 mins on the ab circle pro

Then in the afternoon i usually do about an hour of cardio workouts like boxing and boxing exercises... so its not quiet 2 hours, but close enough...

These dvds sure do bring a sweat up with in the first 10 mins....

With the eating part, i use the biggest looser replacement meals for lunch, fruit and yoghurt for brekky, and usually veges or salad for tea with a small amount of meat (depending what meat) so i think i well and truely burn the calories i eat plus more
