So currently the only exercise I can really do is walking!
Due to back issues, when I run my back jarrs and jams up leaving me painful :(

I am looking into getting a recumbant exercise bike which is one of those bikes that has the back supports when you're sitting down. They're meant to be very good for ppl with back pain. Im saving now :) But in the meantime will start walking.
What is considered a reasonable length walk? Is 30min the norm? I live in a slightly hilly area - its not gigantic hills but my street is a steady incline to get to my house haha

Listen to your body. It will tell you how much you can do. Always push yourself but never break yourself is the principle to use.

Swimming is another exercise you can try. The water will support your weight and make it easier for your back.

Walking in a slightly hilly area is good because it can tone up your leg and thighs because you exert some effort to walk. A 30 minute walk is better but if you want you can extend it. A 45 minute walk is good if you want to lose weight. A minimum of 3 kilometer walk is good for you also.
