i say mainly cardio, but weights too as the more lean body mass u have the faster your metabolism is and the more fat u burn :) i do cardio 5 days a week and weights 2 days a week

I am with a good mixture of both - cardio to burn the fat and weights to help get your muscles in shape :D

It's a toughie as I don't know if cardio and weights are equal but I believe both are essential. The weights really helps you lose weight in an indirect manner as in increasing your metabolism.

Yup, it's gotta be a mix of both... As Lolly said, cardio burns the fat and weights help strengthen and shape the muscles underneath! I couldn't pick just one!

I made this topic because lately a person told me that working out on your muscles make it so your muscles absorb the fat and use it as energy. Any truth to that?

Muscles dont absorb fat thats just not what they are designed to do BUT the more muscle you have the higher your metabolism is so you will use up more energy
My vote is for a combination of both weights and cardio

cardio uses up evergy and leads to fat loss (if expenditure outweighs input), however weights build muscle which give tone and lead to a higher basal metabolism (i.e resting rate of energy use). However increasing muscle will also increase weight due to being heavier. I think both benefit but in thier own ways that are equally as important.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
