I've got the dreaded shin splints too. I kinda expected it would happen. Even experienced runner can get it, from over training or simply being out of the loop for a long time.
If in fact it is shin splints you have, there is nothing the doc can do or tell you that you won’t get out of the above link. I hope you did not pat too much.
I'll be using both the rest and pushing it method. Hope you’re feeling much better now.
This is the point where a lot of runners quit...It not need be the case...beat the shin splints and your just about there as a runner/jogger
