windsor pilates or core secrets?

Postby Iwillbefit » Tue Jul 24, 2007 11:55 pm

I'm not sure which one to put my money on - I need some extra help with some core work and I can't decide which one will help me more, windsor pilates or the core secrets dvd workout?

If anyone has had any experience with either of them or recommend one over the other, please let me know. Thanks...

Yeah its a hard decision lol I'm just a little confused - partly because they're both by the same company Guthy Renker and when you order the core pilates you are automatically subscribed to the next lot of dvds, and some people have had problems "unsubscribing" from the other dvds.

I find the ball work more appealing for some reason but pilates will help my back heaps too.

I have one dvd of windsor pilaties & it was quite good I would think that they are practically the same as well because they are from the same company.

You will achieve best results with the ball, but I wouldn't waste money on the core secrets stuff. I have both DVDs (pilates and core secrets).

If you buy yourself a fit ball you can do your upper and lower body workout incorporating the ball....which automatically works your core.

Pilates is all about "breathing" through your core muscles....basically we all breath wrong. Our stomach should go out as we inhale and suck in (draw your abdo towards your spine) as you exhale. That's the secret of Pilates, and yoga, and fit ball...blah, blah, blah! Personally, I found Pilates extremely hard on my lower back....and I don't generally have a back problem!!

I have had great results with a fit ball workout.

If you wanna know anymore just PM me and I'll give you some more specifics....free of charge!!
