Hiya everyone...I'm back!!! :P I have finally finished all my assessments and I only have 2 weeks of school left (tafe finished 2 weeks ago) so I am finally able to come back and catch up.....

I have been to the doctors (FINALLY!) and I shall get the results back of all the tests on Friday. My doctor has spoken with me about getting rid of the weight once and for all and she said she is willing to work with me. I will know more on Friday, so I will be able to fill in some more details!!

Anyway it is nice to be back! I just have the mammoth task of catching up with a few of you!!

Hey Ally,

It's great that you have that support from your doctor and you're not being brushed off. It's so easy for GP's to put obesity in the too hard basket. IYKWIM.

Good luck at the dr's on Friday :)

Thankyou for all your replies....I really feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders having finished all my assessments for the semester...I feel like I have my life back a bit and am able to some "me" things!!! LOL I had my last assessment signed off yesterday, so I am off today to put the last of them in....YAY!!! :D :D I will certainly be around a lot more often now!! :D

I think I gobsmacked my doctor today as even though I am so overweight my good and bad cholesterol readings were well below the limits!! Everything is functioning normally (liver, kidneys, thyroid etc..) the only thing that is a bit out of whack is my hormones, but after talking it through with her we both agreed that I shouldn't be on medication for it and we will see if the weightloss will bring them back into full swing again.....the only problem I have that is a bit of a concern is my leg...most of you probably weren't here when I fell out of the kids cubby house and injured my leg....but to keep it short, I still have a lot of swelling around the scar and she is a bit concerned about it and has put me back on anti-inflamatories for 10 days to see if it helps it.

I will go and see the clinic nurse to be put on a health care plan, which is great as it means I have access to a dietician and a exercise consultant for free (which on our budget is great news!!) I am not sure when that appointment is, as they have to contact me for the appointment, but it is one that I don't want to miss!!

Till next time....... :D
