hey bella - thank you :) and i'm just going for a trim at the moment - i'm not game to go the whole way with a new hairdresser (so to speak!) on the first visit :) that was the only part of my pledge i didn't uphold this week - but i have found one i think looks nice nearby so i'm going to call before lunchtime today :)

i think i did well with the pledge this week but now i need some better self control all around - had an engagement party on sat arvo that was a bbq - i did really well - 1.5 sausages, salad, one slice of garlic bread & a small piece of cake. i also had 2 beers & a glass of that jewell champers (nice!). that would have all been okay if i didn't go off to the rugby where it seemed like a good idea to have another couple of beers & then go off for a mexican feast of frozen strawberry margharitas (a couple of jugs between 3 of us), a main - plus dessert!! eeep. i felt soooooooo sick after dinner  i shoulda stopped before dessert!

also - my last 20 mins of exercise for the week was from housework/chores. whilst i think it all counts, i would have preferred it to be an aerobic exercise rather than just a calorie burning one (if that makes sense!!)

anyways, this is a new week. so it's time for a new pledge!

week two pledges:

1. cereal 3/7 mornings
2. 220 minutes of exercise
3. to not exceed a total of 1500 calories on 5/7 days

i've dropped water because i just drink my 2l without any problems - it's the other things that challenge me

sport is my downfall for sure! we go to the footy every week in winter :?

day 1 update:

0/220 mins exercise
0/3 cereal
1/5 days 1500 cals (1450)

felt good to have a day that came in under cals without needing exercise to get me there. i still eat too much plain & simple.

day 2 (wed):

0/220 mins exercise...argh! i'm really going to have to start exercising in the morning - this week i pretty much have something on each evening. cept for tonight cos i have my training session (at least i'll be off 0 tomorrow!)
0/3 cereal
1/5 days at 1500 cals. yesterday i went over the 1500 - got to about 1700 - but it was planned & expected as i had a birthday dinner & i decided it was okay to go over.

i'm confused again - i looked at a site that JP mentioned to calculate calories and it said my express weight loss (can't remember if that's the right term - might have been 'extreme') calorie amount was about 1650 cals daily. normal weight loss was just over 1700. i don't think that eating 1500 could be too low though? anyways, i'll keep going with my pledge of 5/7 days at or just under 1500 and see what happens!

Hiya hun,
It's hard to juggle so much at times. Not everyone likes working out in the mornings but for me I need to cos then if something comes up then at least i know i've done my exercise and wont feel guilty...also I get through the day better and happier.
great goals you're setting. tc, LC :)

day 3 (thurs)

60/220 mins exercise (finally off 0!)
1/3 days eating cereal for breakfast
2/5 days at 1500 calories - it was exercise that brought me back to the 1500 cos i was over. not sure if this should count.

should have worked out when i first got up this morning. bit annoyed with myself cos we have visitors tonight & i don't know if i'll get a chance. if it's not raining i'll go for a walk at lunchtime.

felt great to finally have my hair cut - it's been waaaay too long & it was adding to me feeling frumpy & ick at the mo!!
