Starting over again!!!!

Postby Kaz » Sat Mar 15, 2008 4:47 pm

Hi all...... Well the subject says it all I am starting all over again..... After falling spectacularly off of my wagon I decided to pick myself up and dust myself off for another round :D :D .

I joined a little "biggest loser club" that my best friend and her sister started for family and close friends where we pay $5 a month and after 3 months the biggest percentage loser would get a money prize....

Well the first week was sensational a loss of 2kg then I have just yoyo'd for the past 3 weeks. I decided I needed to get my head into the right place and a friend saw how depressed I was at not being able to stick to it so he recommended doing the Tony Ferguson diet that he was on. I started on Sunday and thought I would be sooooooo hungry but it has been so easy.... I know that it is expensive but I actually sat down and worked out how much money I was spending on "crap" and found that this was a lot cheaper.... I know that it is not a permanent thing but I need to motivate myself with a kick start. Suffering from Haemochromatosis I consulted my doctor and she has approved it but is just going to monitor my blood tests for the next month to see if they rise. Even if they do I hope that a month will be enough.

Tomorrow is my official weigh day but so far I have lost 3.6kg (yes I know it is all fluid but hey 3.6 is 3.6 :P :P ) I will keep you updated in the rollercoaster of my weight loss

Hey Kaz, it doesnt matter about before, what counts is now ! The main thing is that you are back on the wagon and have a challenge to work yourself through ! Cash is always a great prize ;)

So what program are you doing ?

I am starting with the Tony Ferguson diet to kick start the loss then I will go back to either weight watchers points plan or calorie king to loose the remainder.....

Ive only just been introduced to CK by a few wonderful members on here and I love it :D

I was considering going back to WW when I get transitioned back onto food, however Ive now found that CK is terribly easy and I find is far better !!

Well Sunday was weigh day for week 2 and I lost another 1.8 kg which is a total of 5.6kg so far....
Am still finding it easy and not feeling hungry. I even managed to resist temptation as I have been given lindt bunnies for easter but they are still in the bag and not touched :P . I helped my mother in law move on Saturday and she was going to get fish and chips for lunch (my fiance said to me "you've got to be joking she is going to eat that in front of you" but she changed her mind and we went to the pub instead (she had bangers and mash and I had a garden salad no dressing). Then she offered to buy us all pizza for dinner and my fiance and I said "Nah we gotta go home" so we had leftover steak and salad for dinner at 8pm.....

Hope you all have had a successful easter....

Hope you all had a good week......

Thanks Helen I am stoked I never thought it would happen this quickly. I have stuck to the program like super glue and have not given in to any temptations at all..... Even over easter and I am a huge chocoholic....

I have to go for a blood test this week and if my iron levels have risen then I will have to come off the program immediately. I will be devastated but if that is the case then at least it has given me a huge kick start......

Congrats on your results so far they are great...

Good luck for the blood test Kaz.

Don't be afraid of coming off the shakes, you will find that the kick start that you have got, is invaluable and you will not let yourself go back to where you came from.

You have all of us here to support you through the transition should that be the case :)

Good luck with the blood tests kaz, hope your levels are ok and you dont have to come off them. But if you do I am sure you will do great. This challenge you have gotten yourself into with the biggest loser is fantastic. Well Done. I might organise something like that for my friends next time round. Keep us posted.
