Kaz's New Start

Postby Kaz » Wed Apr 16, 2008 7:30 pm

Ok as I said in my "Starting over again!!!!" I am starting a new thread with my "New Start".

I was originally going to have 1 shake a day for the next week but I have canned that idea after this morning feeling light headed at work..... So "healthy eating" here I come....

Sorry if I bore everyone but I am going to post here everyday what I eat so I feel accountable for my actions..... I don't know if I have felt yukky today as I have started eating carbs again after not having them for 5 weeks or if it is just cause of TTOM (which is unusual as the headache would normally have been yesterday not today)

Calorie King recommends I have 1480 calories and am going to work my way back to that figure. For the first couple of weeks my goal is 1200 calories to get my body used to them as I have been having between 750 and 880 calories a day..

BREAKFAST: 1 x shake
MORNING: large banana
LUNCH: wholemeal sandwich with a smear of flora light, slice of 97%FF chicken loaf, LF cheese slice, lettuce
AFTERNOON: -
DINNER: HomeMade chicken snitzel (oven baked), salsa, 30g LF cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, 1/2 potato
LATE: -
WATER: 3lt
CALORIES: 1184

A new start is always very motivational!

My advice... You should have something to eat for afternoon tea. Think of your body as a car... It needs constant fuel. The gap between lunch and dinner is too large. Even a piece of fruit may do the trick.

The most important things I have learnt from my own weight loss journey is: You eat for energy and that preparation is a must.

Best of luck!

-Lauren.

Thanks Lauren for your advice..... I try to make sure I always have something between breakfast and lunch as Breaky is at 5am and lunch is not normally till between 12 and 1. I find that I don't always eat in the afternoon as I am not hungry as we try to have tea between 5 and 6 on average (depends when MF(my fiance) finishes work). I will try to include something in the future though as I understand what you are saying...

Well yesterday I thought I actually ate well.... But after my salad sandwich I felt sick (like I wanted to vomit) and physically had the shakes also I had a wicked headache.... Today I had 1 piece of toast for breaky and half hour later another wicked headache kicked in.. I have felt light headed and sick today as well. I rang the friend that recommended me to use the Tony Ferguson diet and he said "oh yeah that's normal its like detox in reverse" THIS IS CRAP..... I eat healthy and feel like I want to be sick all the time.... I was told that the first week you are on the diet to expect this kind of feeling as you are detoxing off of coffee, junkfood etc but not no one told me what would happen when you come off the shakes.... I am so angry at myself for actually doing this to myself... If I had known then what I know now there is no way in hell that I would have gone onto it. Don't get me wrong I am stoked that I lost 10kg but at the moment the headaches don't seem worth it....

Sorry I just had to vent....

Have you given up coffee while improving your diet? Could that account for your headache? My fiance drinks about five coffees per day and any time he has significantly fewer coffees he'll have a hideous headache.

Good on you for having such healthy meals! You're doing really well.

Hi Ali No I don't really drink that much coffee anyway maybe 1 cup a day if I am lucky.... They are just caused by reintroducing the carbs back into my system though today I think it is from my neck LOL!!!

Thanks girls the pizza was amazing.... Thinking of having it again tonight LOL!!!
