Hey chicky

Sorry to hear you're going through a tough time. Maybe seeing someone about it would really help. There is nothing wrong with going to see someone to talk about what you're going through or how upset its making you.

Good to hear you're not smoking. Well done. That must be quite an effort at a time like this.

take care xox

Firstly let me congratulate you on not smoking for a week. That is absolutely brilliant! It takes a lot of determination and courage to quit smoking so you should be very proud of yourself for making that decision.

And I'd like to second what Cassie said, there's nothing wrong with seeing a counsellor. Perhaps it would be worthwhile to ask yourself why the notion of seeing a counsellor makes you feel funny. Is it because you feel uncomfortable talking about your emotions to a stranger? Do you feel it's an admission of weakness? Seeing a counsellor is perfectly normal. And given the amount of stressors that have been placed in your life it's perfectly natural that you are reacting to them in a negative manner. As to waiting to see if it sorts itself out, in the immortal words of Dr Phil, "How's that working for you so far?"

Put it another way, what have you got to lose?

Take care Holly. I hope life starts being a bit kinder to you soon!

Gee it feels like ages since I last posted. A heap has happened and I am finally on track and starting to feel good about myself again. I am trying not to stress about things and have started smoking again. I wasnt strong enough not to see my friends. But hey I am not letting it get me down. Its a process which I am achieving slowely and will great there in the end.
I have stopped doing tony fergerson for medical reasons but even though it was only 2 days I was on it, I have stopped my food cravings and clicked into the right frame of mind. In the last 2 weeks I have lost 2.5 kilos. I am walking most days, and feeling guity if i dont, and i am stopping eating when I am full instead of just sitting there feeding my face until I am full as. I am also eating well, occasionally having treats but I am cutting it all down alot.
I weighed in on friday and was 83.5kg. I can not rememeber the last time I was below 84kg. Its been ages, and its really encouraged me.
My back is still really back, still getting physio a few times a week, so i am not doing full on excerise just walking about 30 min a few times a week...
Anyway its good to be back

Hey Holly!

Well done on the loss, thats fantastic...isn't funny how we just need a start to be encouraged to keep going.

Keep looking after yourself and you'll get there sooner than you think.

Keep up the great work!

Holly, 30 mins a few times a week can make a big difference! Well done on the loss, its good to see an update from you every so often just to know that your still hanging on there. Your well and truly on track now.
Congrats on learning to stop when your full. Its a good feeling when you put the plate down and go "i'm fool, i don't want or need the rest".

Hey all, its been a while since I last posted. I have realised I need to keep posting here, for me to keep up my motiviation. I weighed in this morning, and was 84.5kg. I have a few days off work because I am sick AGAIN... I am sure I will loose weight this week, because I am not eating. I shouldnt celebrate about loosing weight that way. I might try and eat some stir fry for dinner...

I finally have a dietition appointment and sooo looking forward to it. Its next month though, so I am going to start using CK again and use that as a guide. I have also promised myself I am going to make some new goals, as I want to try and look good for summer.

My new goals are

To lose half to a kilo a week
eat at least 1 piece of fruit a day
drink 2 liters of water
only eat take away once a week, and if I eat it more then will be doing extra excerise
make sure i walk at least 4 times a week.....

I am quiet pumped to do this now, I really feel like I am ready and am sick of making excuses for myself. I need to start looking after myself...

I hope everyone is doing well...

thanks girls, I am feeling much more positive now I am back...

Now what to have for dinner, the dr told me to eat things like soup and mash potato.... the mash sounds inviting, but i know a soup would be much more better... thats if i even have soup here.
