hey darlin

wow awesome job with the weightloss dude thats fantastic im so happy for u. Its excellent ur going to the gym too i think the 14kg goal is totally achievable within that time frame.

i know what u mean about the strict eating thing well kind of, i find that if i eat a slice of cake for example i find it really easy to fall off the bandwagon after so i try to be careful. I wont completely deny myself of something if i truely want it, but i guess u find after a while that the cravings lessen. the social part is the hardest i guess :)

have fun with the family xx love

Hi Guys,

Still floating around, I've now started back at all three jobs though, so it's going to be extremely tough to keep up with everyone ... oh except for the weekends when I have all the time in the world

I jumped on the scales this morning and it showed me 5kgs heavier ! I nearly died of a mycardial infarct ( heart attack, just being a technical knob ! ) I really don't know how that could happen. .... I've been an angel with my eating since Sunday ... Im still in shock ........

Anyway, enough of me whinging, hope everyone is well :)

PS CC haven't seen Vlad ( my KGB Fat Buster ! ) in a while ... I miss him

Ignore the scales for saying you were 5kg heavier then your last weigh in, it couldn't be possible for anyone to gain that could it? Unless you ate about 30 pizzas and lots of chocolate and wearing about 3kg in jewellery at the time of weigh in.

How do you fit in 3 jobs? You must not sleep!

It's probably just water weight. My weight fluctuates as much as 3kg depending on how much water I'm retaining and (trying to phrase this as delicately as possible...) how efficient my digestive process is in clearing out old food.

Don't panic about it. Give it a few days and see if your weight settles back down again. It's highly unlikely you've gained 5kg in that short amount of time!

Thanks guys ! I really got worried and haven't jumped on the scales since ... It is weigh in tomorrow and I know I've been pretty spot on with my food, water but have hardly had time to exercise, due to work. I don't get time to go to the gym anymore now that I've started back at all three jobs :( I think I have to start taking my shoes to work and going for walks during my lunch break, but I only get 30 minutes to eat and exercise if that's the case. On the up side, my boss is looking at making a gym room on site, but I doubt he will get equipment that will hold my weight :( Oh well, Suppose I have to fit it in somewhere !

Going by my progress and excellent eating, I am quietly confident about tomorrow's weigh, just pi$$ed scared to get back on the scales considering that 5kg gain mid week .... I guess that teaches me not to have sneak peaks

oh golly gosh lost a whole post! to parraphrase

i think its water weight, like tarz said its almost impossible to gain that much weight in one week - could your scales be giving incorrect readings?

Too bad about vlad, i miss him too

Completely gutted .... weighed in this morning 178.7. 3.8kg gain.

I have no idea what my body is doing. Have stuck to my 2 shakes and one meal per day, incorporated 3 pieces of fruit to help me at snacking times and only had one small freddo frog that was an extra .... It can't be fluid as I have taken two fluid tablets during the week to get rid of excess fluid.

Im at a loss. I really am.

babe i think something fishy is happening. Purely because if u weighed in 5 kilos heavier, that means you've taken off 1.2 kilos in one day of that 5, and managed to gain 3.8 on a strict diet. I'd probably think its either your scales or the fluid, because if u started taking fluid tablets, that might account for the 1.2 kilo loss - in fluid - and your body may still be retaining some. When i was on chemo they would put litres of fluid through me and i'd retain it for a week and drop about 4 kilos when i came out of hospital and the fluid went away.

Dont be too discouraged, i'd give it a couple of weeks and see how your weight fluctuates in that time. Your doing really really well, especially since your such a busy women.

love xxx

I weighed in 5 kgs heavier at the beginning of the week on Monday. So I've lost 1.2kgs since then ... but still gained 3.8kgs from Friday ... I honestly at a loss ... TTOM is not due, I don't feel bloated .... I can't even find any reasons that could justify it.

honestly hel i totally think it must be fluid or something. I don't think its possible to gain that much in a week, especially with you saying yourself that you have been making sure your eating well and your on the run so much and fitting exercise in.

Maybe wait a week or so before you weigh yourself again. I've banished my scales, i dont think its a true reflection. I dont think you would have put on 4 kilos in muscle mass in a week either :) it really is a mystery. Maybe you should up the fluid tablets?

Helen, were you using the same scales? I don't see how you could have gained that when you have been so good. i think you need new scales, or weigh in every 2 weeks instead of weekly.
Ignore what the scales said, don't let them get you down cos you are doing fantastic.

Here's an idea - lock your scales in a cupboard for a few weeks - seriously ignore them, keep doing what you're doing, and take your mind off 'em. No need to do your head in - you are going so well being back on track, as well as coping with three jobs

Scales are just a number - just like age!!!!! LOL :?

Yea I think I might weigh in every 2 weeks, but I have to find a way to keep motivated as weigh in every week keeps me there.

Oh and for the record they were the same scales and i was wearing the same items of clothing I always wear ...
