I agree with the others Hel, don't worry about what the scales say this week. I bet you have a fantastic weigh in next time to balance out.

The human body is such a weird thing, who knows what it's doing!?

Sounds like the scales are being stubborn. I used to get so distressed when I would get on the scales and found that there was no loss, or shock horror gasp, there was a GAIN. It doesn't make sense sometimes - how can I put on weight if my output is greater than my input calorie-wise? Also, if you've had a big change in diet, even going from a healthy diet to something that's quite restrictive could cause you body to have a bit of a build-up (if you know what i mean). I'm sure the scales will tell you a happy story soon! All the best.

Thanks guys !

I havent been able to get to the gym since last week as Ive been completely exhausted now that Im working the three jobs. I think I am going to have start my WATP dvd's again as that's only a half hour as opposed to 1.5 hrs round trip from the gym. Plus im going to start walking on my lunch break.

I did some emotional eating yesterday as like I said I was completely gutted. I still really can't comprehend how this weight came on.

Anywayyyyyyyyyyyyy, I could very well get to the gym tomorrow as it opens at 7am and I don't need to be here at work until 10 ! Then as of Monday morning, I will commence my WATP dvd again for the 1 mile and slowly build it up to the 2 mile 5 days per week !

There's so much going on at the moment .... Im so confused it's not funny, not only in relation to my weightloss but personal life as well ..... perhaps it could be the stress that has done this .... who knows

hey helen, sorry to hear about the gain. maybe its just the dodgy scales? amybe u ate too much salt and not enough water? there's about a gazillion reasons why it could have happened. see how it goes next week :) you're doing so well though, don't give up!

your dvd's sound good, i can't wait to get back to the gym  sad i know, i'm actually looking forward to it!!

Helen! I'm so glad to see you're back, even if you are having some troubling times in your relationship and personal life.

I'm proud of you for jumping back on the wagon.

In terms of the gain - I don't know what to say either! Except, that there's lots of fluctuations and so on that happen, and the more you weigh, the more you will fluctuate - if that makes sense? Like if you weigh 50kg you'd probably fluctuate 1-2 kg at most but if you weight over 100, you fluctuate 5kg or more?

I've definitely had weeks where the scales say I've gained that much. It sucks, and its depressing - but you know what you do? You keep going with the exercise and the healthy eating, you look at your pants - if they aren't getting tighter, you aren't gaining. You carry on, ignore the number, and the next week, it's usually gone - sometimes with more off still! I don't know the answer, except that maybe the scales always have some percentage that they can be off and unfortunately for us heavier girls, the more you weigh, the more off you can be.

You sound like you'll be exhausted with three jobs! Make sure you are staying healthy and hydrated throughout the day, and make time for the exercise - you get more tired the first few weeks but after that you WILL notice that you have more energy through the day - I promise!

Hi Helen,

Just jumpin' in here to say that, "You can do it!!!".

I must dig out my WATP dvd's now that you mentioned it. I forgot about them! Go Leslie with that annoying voice of yours!

Good luck with everything!

pinch and a punch for the first day of the month! (no returns). We should just call June 'weight loss' like for example, someone says, 'hey helen what month is it?' and you say 'well its actually weight loss month bob!' and its a constant reminder of the plight for healthyness. Yay!

love xx
