Hi EvilWombatQueen, I have been counting calories first and foremost and counting fat is a close second (although not so pedantically). Carbs (rightly or wrongly) are something I haven't really given a second thought to. I haven't bothered with any of the meal replacement programs or Jenny Craig, weight watchers or anything like that. It is just my trusty Allan Borusheks calorie counter book and my willpower.
