Nikki's New beginning

Postby electrongirl » Wed Aug 06, 2008 7:09 pm

Hello all!!

I have been a bit absent in the whole weight loss journey bizzo for a while, however I am back and determined (yes you've heard that a million times I know!)

I rejoined Weight Watchers this morning and weighed in 6kg heavier than my last weigh in... fantastic

I am going to be realistic here. I have no idea how long this will last as my boss goes away for 3 weeks in September and is leaving me by myself to run the shop. Working 6 days a week and the added stress is going to really test my willpower!!

But I will try, better than nothing huh!!

So here I am back again for the millionth time!

Thanks for the support girls!!

The first week hasn't been as great as I hoped. My mum called me late Wednesday night to tell me my Nanna is quite ill and not expected to be with us much longer so she has bought me a plane ticket to Melbourne for next week so I can see her before she passes. I have been a bundle of nerves and not sleeping and emotional eating! Also I have to work on my day off so I can take the days off to go there so no WW meeting for me for the next 2 weeks either! Great huh!

Oh well life is not an easy journey is it!

hang in there nikki - look after yourself and don't worry about stuff like weight loss when you have far more pressing concerns. Sorry to hear about your Nanna - it's nice that you will get to see her before she goes.

Take care of yourself

Sorry to hear about your nanna Nikki - hope all goes well in Melbourne and she passes peacefully.

Good luck with jumping back on the wagon. It doesn't matter how many times you fall off as long as you keep on climbing back on - you will get there in the end!

I'm back from Melbourne. My Nanna actually got a bit better just before I got there. But she was still alot worse than I last saw her. She was 78 last time I saw her and was pretty healthy and now she is 90, can hardly walk without a walker and someone to help her bath, eat etc.

Her mental faculties are still all there though which must be so frustrating for her.

Anyway, I am pretty exhausted... its been a long week.
