I am new to this forum, just joining up this morning. After joining up to the forum I had a Dr's appointment. Unfortunately the news I got wasn't very good
I made the appointment with the specialist because I have PCOS and wanted to commence metformin to help me loose weight. My GP wasn't happy to prescribe it so refered me to the specialist. I found out today the my fasting blood sugar was high, as is my cholestrol. The doctor want's me to have the Glucose Tolerance Test as she fears I might have diabetes
I have known that I was a high risk yet I sat on my fat lazy butt and didn't do anything about it and now I am paying the price. The Dr also recommended that I follow the CSIRO diet and I excercise for at least an hr 5 times a week
SO I have now decided to give myself a month before I have the GTT. In this month I am going to follow the CSIRO diet as close as I can and try and excercise 5 times a week. Fingers crossed that it may affect the results. I just hope I haven't left it to late!
Anyway tomorrow its time for the big weigh in and to add a ticker! Then hi ho hi ho its off to the gym I go!
