Back Again!

Postby Fat Bottomed Girl » Mon Sep 22, 2008 11:21 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm back to try again. I thought I finally had it all together earlier this year, and I was starting to lose weight. Got busy with work and family, and stopped being so careful - next thing I know, I've put it back on again. Oh yeah, also stopped exercising - duh!

Really missed you guys - amazing what a difference it made checking in with everyone's progress. Definitely inspiring. Once I stopped checking in with the forum I also stopped weighing in every day (I know that some think weighing in daily is a bad thing, but I look on it as damage control!). I knew it was time to get serious again when I'm in the bathroom, the scales are just there, I'm thinking about weighing myself but then I go "nah".

Anyway, the bad news - currently 104.1kg as of this morning. (And I was just over 100kg only 5 weeks ago)
however have eaten responsibly today - even when the spouse made a laksa for dinner (trust me to start again today of all days  ) - actually ate breakfast, and opted for a grilled chicken breast with coleslaw for dinner instead. Half an hour on the treadmill. 4 glasses of water so far (maybe 5 - I've sort of lost count).

Sorry - bit of a ramble. Look forward to catching up with everyone.

Cheers

Sharon

Thanks ladies! Well, seems to be going OK again (of course, it's only day 4.....) My eating has been under control and I've been exercising for 30mins on the treadmill every night. Even when I got in from trivia (yep, a sad trivia buff) last night around 11.00pm, still got on the treadie for half an hour! And I'm drinking water instead of the dreaded coke zero (well mostly).

Funny isn't it, how much better you immediately feel when you start doing something about your weight - even if it is baby steps.

I'm off to Cairns for a week for my wedding anniversary in a months time (30 sleeps, but who's counting :D ) I'd love to be under 100kg by that time - reckon I can do it?

Hi All,

Weigh in day -

LW 104.1
CW 100.7

Loss of 3.4kg Woohoo!

I know that it's mostly water weight, but I'm taking it anyway!

Have continued to make (mostly) good food choices, so I'm pretty proud of myself. Even though the spouse seems to be doing a bit of sabotage - he wants to make chicken schnitzel tonight, and is now p*ssed with me because I said that I'd grill my chicken breast! Men!

Hi All,

Thanks for the encouragement Ladies - I feel like I need it today.

Never realised before just how big an emotional eater I am - a good friend passed away a few days ago and even though it's devastating I thought I was handling it OK. Then comes today - don't know what happened but I just lost it. Took breakfast to work (a yoghurt - I've never been a breakfast eater), but didn't touch it. Went out at lunch and had a steak sandwich and a bloody donut of all things. THEN, I come home and my daughters been baking. Had 2 muffins even though I'm thinking to myself "What the hell are you doing". And I've just had another muffin after a pasta dinner - when I fully intended to have a salad. WTF?

Going to Qld tomorrow for the funeral - hopefully will have a better grip on myself by then! Now I'm online rather than on treadmill where I should be! And I'm feeling bloated and disappointed in myself.

Quick somebody, tell me to get on the treadmill now.....

Rant over - thanks for listening
