New Start...Must Keep on track

Postby Skinny Mandy Moo » Mon Sep 29, 2008 6:50 pm

Hey guys,

I was here about 6 months ago and thought I was serious about losing weight then. Now 6 months down the track I am heavier then ever. But I have got new motivation to do this properly this time and hope that if I think positive and keep my mind on the job this time I am going to lose weight and keep it off. So if you have any helpful hints or advise I would love to hear from you.

Thanks,
Mandy

Hey, and welcome back. Good luck on your Journey.
Best advice I can give is dont expect to wake up next week and be skinny (my old mistake- wanting it to happen NOW).

You will get heaps of advice here.

Good on you for getting back on track.

My favourite saying for life in general is from the science fiction spoof movie Galaxy Quest: "Never give up. Never surrender". I also quite like the good old classic "Be Here Now" especially when I'm getting impatient with my exercise and wanting to be done for the day.

Keep your personal motivation in focus and you will make it. Don't let anyone or anything stop you. :D

OK guys so today is my offical first day. I started the morning with 30 minutes on the cross trainer and 10 minutes ont he air walker. Today is my first day without eatting a chocolate bar and without having take away of some kind. Below is what I ate for the day, does anyone have any idea if what I had is ok or any ideas on how I could make things better? Any advice would be great.

Food today-
Breakfast:
Weet Bix with Skim milk and Honey

Lunch-
A small tin of tuna in spring water mixed through spiral pasta with a bit of cheese, mayo and tomato sauce

Dinner-
Xndo diet milk shake as well as watermelon and an orange

I also had a low fat Jarra Chocolate drink (to cure my chocolate craving) and a glass of coke zero.

Good on you for not having the choccies or take away, I remember giving up the chocolate was the hardest for me, I used to have 2-3 bars a day  .

Did you drink much water? Its one thing you MUST learn to love 8) !!!!
