Postby chubby-no-more » Fri Jan 16, 2009 11:58 pm

Hi All,l

I am new to the forum and am enjoying reading others stories and thought i would share my own.

I am FAT always have been ever since I was a small child. I am fat simply because I have bad eating habits and have made poor lifestyle choices.

aT MY HEAVIEST i WAS 122.5 KGS and then I joined weight watchers and took off 42.5 kgs in about 9 months and got down to 80 where i had a big plateau. I was exercising 3-4 hours at teh gym and eating whatever I wanted without any gains but eventually the exercise slowly diminished and after 1 year of keeping the wieght off i began to gain and put on 20 kg in just over a year, then ontop of that wieght i gained 0 kg whislt having my bubby. I now have a 4 month old who I need to set a poitive example for. It is 2009 and my time to get my censored together before my little girl can learn my bad habbits. I have only 3 goals for my week
1. drink 2L water daily
2. exercise 5 sessions
3. Follow that Kate Morgan plan

Not too hard!!!!!!!! I know that I am pushing hard, but I have to. I don't want my daughter to experience life as an overwight individual because I can honestly say it is not good.

So I wish to use this forum to help me help myself to stay motivated and honest, which is the big thing. Be accountable for my actions.

So if you are serois about amiking change please help me and i'll try and help you. we can be in it together.
hugs

G's blog

Postby chubby-no-more » Sat Jan 17, 2009 11:11 am

I am going to use this as my blog and write down how i'm feeling my daily food intake and all things 'weighty' I am feeling really confident that I have clicked and am in the right place. My DD turns 1 in late september and by her birthday I would love to have lost 20 kg which is about 2.5 kg per month, this I feel is not too overly ambitious. As mentioned in my last post I am going to start my journey with the Kate Morgan program - mainly to gain confidence by some quickish results.

Starting weight: 106.1 kg

Attitude: super positive, which is great after a big 4 hours sleep (my little girl has decided she does not want to sleep at night (loving that NOT)

Today was the first day of my - I hate to say 'diet' but it is what it is. And I have had an awesome day, I have met all of the goals I set for myself and have eaten really well, stuck to the plan down to the letter and without any major dramas. So day one is a big success. Yay for me. Here's hoping that tommorrow brings continued success. XX

Good luck with your goals. We have a similar road to follow. Our weights are currently the same and the amount we have to lose is similar. Our heaviest weights are similar and our goals are similar - I want to lose weight to fall pregnant and I also don't want to be a fat role model and have fat children. I want my children to grow up in their healthy weight range and experience full and happy lives (not the unhappy one I experienced limited by being an obese fat teenager). So I can really relate - good luck and I look forward to following your progress and continued success, best wishes.

thanks Alexandra, its nice to know that other people are in exactly the same boat :)

I also had a really shocking time in high school, which led to more poor food choices and more weight gain - the vicious cycle and the last thing in the whole wide world that I want for my little one is that. So I am determned to get my sh*t together and put my poor food habits and sedintary lifestyle behind me.

I need to be careful with my exercise as I know that I cn become obsessive and become an exercise bulimic and purge away all calories with exercise. But i'm really conscious of this and don't want to go there but at the same time have to not use it as an excuse not to be active. :!:

How are you planning on losing the weight?

Today was another good day for me, I made a really yummy soup and ate that, I did not have any shakes though as it was too hot for milky drinks. So my calories may have been a little low as I just had the soup(a few sticks of celery, one carrot and vegetable stock) and 120g protien and mixed veg for tea with a snack of a banana and an apple. My water was also a little low today just over a litre. So i'll have to down a litre in the next 2hrs before bed. Anyway for me two days of healthy eating is 2 more than I have been able to string together in a long..... time. Now for tommorrow more of the same and add in some exercise - at least a walk if I can't make it to the gym (depends on bubba)

I was also impressed when I went to the cupboard to get a hot chocolate - but when I looked at the calorie count it was almost enough as half a shake, so I said NO not until I get the Jarrahs and had a tea with sweetner instead.

MENTAL NOTE: Need to cut back on diet soft drinks as I am not drinking enough water.

I am impressed with the lack of cravings to this point YES I know it has only been two days but I am feeling so confident this time.

Catch ya tommorrow where I am hopefully still feeling on track and craving free. wish me luck :P

Hi Chubby-no-more! You're doing so well!!! Keep it up girl :) I'm also wanting to lose weight to help my chances of falling pregnant, and so that I don't eventually become an overweight role-model for my kids. I want them to be healthy because I know it will help them in their lives.

I really wish you the best of luck :)
