I am 41, married with 2 young girls, aged 5 and 6. I need to lose about 50 kilos, and this year I want it to start.
I want to be more active with my girls. I have tried so many times to lose weight, have small success and then put it back on and more.... My blood glucose levels are up too, close to being classed as diabetic - so have 3 months to try and get it down by weightloss - I don't want to be a diabetic!
Anyway, I started last week. I have ordered the Lite n Easy dinners for 5 nights, and on weekend eat same meals with family.
My first week has been:
* I didn't count cals this last week - my aim was to cut out the extras and focus on portion sizes...
* social functions were hard - but kept nibbling to a mimumum.
* have walked the dog for 30 mins each day for 5 days!
* took kids to pool twice and got in and played with them! (This was a big victory for me - so conscious of wearing a swimsuit - this time I just said to myself - they just want me to play with them - put them first)
Starting weight was 128.0 on 12.01.09
Weight today (19.01.09) was 126.7
a loss of 1.3 kilos! Could have been better without the nibbling but - still a loss!
This week I am counting cals - cereal for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, fruit for snacks and lite n easy dinners for dinner.
Need to keep moving, and minimise those temptations!
