I have been thinking about rewards for reaching my goal, it's not so much rewards but things I'd like to do- I want to get family photos done with me and my daughter. I want to start running as my weight will be low enough not oncause damage to my ankles and knees.

It seems despite my sensible eating over christmas i may have not escaped unscathed, although i am going to weigh myself in the morning instead as thats when i have been doing it. LIstened to my cd last night. I went for a walk today to the supermarket with my daughter in the pram and i made the most delicious dinner ever! I am a little bummed after weighing myself but tomorrow is a new day, and i will try again in the morning to confirm whats going on.

I really need to get enough resolve not to weigh mysel;f more than once a week, i just cant help it. I am going to discuss this with my therapist and see if she can put in a little bit in my next hypnosis about it haha.

Hi SkinnyInside :) Congratulations on your work and results so far! You'll be at goal before you know it.

I had to laugh about wanting to be skinny and seeing your ex .. LOL ... that was one of my motivations and a very compelling one it was too. hehe

Can I suggest something? Sometimes the scales aren't a true reflection of what is going on .. and while those numbers aren't shifting much there are changes happening. So to stop getting depressed about it take measurements now and when you get those times when you know you're doing all the right things and the scales aren't budging then you can see that your waist (or whatever!) is getting smaller.
Weighing more than the once a week isn't going to wreck anything so long as you don't get too hung up on the number. There are lots of reasons why it could change ... uneven surface, drink of water before hand, didn't go to the loo, fluid retention, the planets are alinging ;) and so on.
I tend to jump on every day and it can fluctuate but I don't think of it in relation to YESTERDAY'S number but to the number 18 MONTHS ago.

That's really good advice from Metalcharm! It can be so disheartening when you think you've done everything right and the numbers on the scales don't shift. Another good indicator can be how your clothes are fitting and whether or not they are becoming more loose. As for rewards, I'll have a think about that and get back to you!

You don't have to do them all but really you can measure anywhere you have fat but you just have to make sure you measure in the same place each time .... the biggest part of your hips for example, or right over the belly button .. other places could be upper stomach, bust, bicep, thigh. :D

I havent weighed myself for a few days so i am going to tomorrow morning and i suspect their will be some damage, i definately havent been over eating and i havent had any binges etc, but i just dont feel i have been doing as well, something to do with bein unorganised.

i have the "band" fitted on saturday so i am really hoping the session goes well. if it doesnt it will have been an expensive 6kilos haha.

Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow :) 6kgs lost so far is an excellent result, you shouldn't be disappointed with that! I think this time of the year is particularly hard to lose weight, so don't beat yourself up too much if you slip up here and there. The important thing is that you just get back to healthy eating ASAP and put it behind you.

I had to dust myself off and take my own advice - I resorted to eating peanut butter from the jar with a spoon on New Year's Day. An excellent start to the year!

Good luck with your 'band fitting', I hope everything goes well for you. Keep us posted!

Hey Skinny :)

Just saying hi and checking in. How did your 'band' fitting go? Have you noticed any differences since then? Also, tell us about how your date went! He sounds like a nice guy, I hope it went well for you :) Did you find something nice to wear out on your shopping trip?
