Thanks guys! I will be studying medicine for the next four years (graduate degree). I've been a registered nurse for just over 5 years, and crazy me decided to have a go at doctoring!!

So it should all be a bit of fun the next few years :? I am really glad I have a nursing background, though, it should help out no end.

That's fantastic molli - I'm sure you'll do really well :) Your nursing background will no doubt help immensely. I lived with a girl who was studying nursing and oh my god, it sounded like she was doing stuff that was covered in a degree in medicine!

Enjoy! Not long to go now...
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

Have been slacking off a bit lately. What with finishing work this week (tomorrow), I'm sure that everyone thinks that since I'm shortly going to be a poor (not really) starving (unlikely) uni student again, they'll do their utmost best to fatten me up before I go!!

Here is my strict plan (allowing for 1 slice of cheesecake tomorrow that I know is going to be at work for me lol):

 1200 calories per day (if no exercise, or light walking or swimming or jogging)

 Can add on an extra meal if going for a ride but only 10 cals/km. Ie if I ride 30km then that day I eat 1500cals.

 NO coffee, tea or diet softdrink. Oh that is going to kill me, but I need to drink water instead of rubbish.

 If jogging more than 5km then I can have 50cal/km. Ie if I go for 8km jog then I eat 1400 cals.

I will check in here each evening and let you know how I go each day. I will post some photos here shortly of me in a tri suit.

Well, here are some more photos, in my new trisuit. The suit is quite tight (that is, can barely breathe tight), and my goal is to have it fit me perfectly for the next tri in two and a half weeks.

I don't mind the front and back views too much, but I gotta do something about the tum!! It drives me insane.

Yes, "looks" professional is the operative word!!! Lets just say that the only prize I am likely to win is the most consistent in coming last! But I have fun, and it gives me something to keep training for.

Thanks! They are around $180 online or from a bike shop. Anything bike or tri related is SOO expensive - they know there is nowhere else to buy from (no budget chains etc), so the garments are always outrageously priced.

Had my last day at work today, and am feeling rather 'jobless' at the moment. Not a nice feeling. Had a major comfort eating day today (feeling a bit blue) so am rather disappointed in myself. But tomorrow is another day.

No it wasn't a contract - I've worked there full/part time over the last five years. But I have to move down to the Gold Coast to do my medical degree, so I have 'officially' resigned from work, but will go back there occasionally on holidays to do a bit of casual nursing when I'm back in town.
