Well it's been a little while since I've posted, but I've certainly still been reading!!! I relocated to the Gold Coast not quite two weeks ago, and have finished the first week of uni! Phew. Lots and lots of study ahead for me!

Been struggling a bit, because it rained pretty much every day until yesterday, I haven't been able to get any training in, and when I finally hopped on the bike this morning I didn't get too far because I was worried about getting lost LOL! So I have exactly 7 weeks to train before the Mooloolaba tri, and I am freaking out!!

Forgot to pack my scales from home, so I bought a new pair. They aren't digital though, so they will no doubt read differently from my old ones. Weight this morning 53kg, but I think they are very generous scales!!! Mind you, I'm not whinging! At least they'll give me a trend anyway.

Anyway, I'm off to do a bit more study, some cross stitch and then bed. Hopefully will not consume too much chocolate in the meantime. One thing that I have now remembered about studying - it makes you very hungry!! I have been hitting the coffee big time.

Uugh. I have just worked my way through 2 pieces lasagne and family bloc of choc. I am going shopping shortly to buy some healthy food! Oh the joys of being a uni student again with no good food in the cupboard.

Whoopsy! Never mind Molli, you go buy some healthy foods and all will be forgiven :D Sounds like some crazy times around your way. Are you enjoying the change? And have you been able to get back into training?

Still getting my head around the whole 'living in a big city' thing - I come from central QLD so it was lovely and quiet. Haven't done much training because of the amt of rain we've been getting here (and all around QLD). I'm feeling really tired, because of the stress of moving and starting such a demanding couse, I think. So I haven't been eating particularly well as a result. Oh well, hopefully I can change that with a few good recipes!! I'll do the Google thing tonight!!

I'm sure everything will settle soon Molli. When you move and things are different AND uni as well, you're bound to need some time to find a new routine.

Can't wait to hear how you go at the next tri :D

Oh, and congrats on 53kgs! Only 1 kg to go! Well done :D
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

Just enjoying the new and improved healthy me and embracing my new lifestyle!

Thanks!! But I'm not sure it's really 53kg - I had to leave my digital scales at home (not enough room to pack them) so bought some new ones, but they're not digital, & I think they're too generous!!!

Studying is a pain for eating right - I always seem to think I nEED sugar while studying. But I am being very good this year :D
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

Bought some digital scales this morning, couldn't stand not knowing precisely what my weight is. 53.8kg today, which is fine by me because now I have a number to work with. Have to go back to calorie counting - too easy to pick at the yummy food everyone brings to study sessions and just disregard the content!! Will go for a nice ride this morning provided the weather cooperates!!

Hey Mimosa, I was an RN in a children's ward for 5 years, but have resigned from that (except for holidays) and am currently studying medicine - I'm in my first year! Crazy, hey!! How about you?

Speaking of exercise, I just got back from my first big ride on the Gold Coast - 35km. Got lost a few times, almost had a heart attack a few times, but found my way and am still intact!! Thank goodness for that.
