Don't forget this is all part of the process to having your beautiful family. Each day you are becoming stronger, this will hold you in good stead for you IVF journey. I pray that it is a short one for you & A. Im not sure if many people are aware of the process of IVF, but it certainly doesnt involve a bedroom If only it were as easy as that !

Hope you are feeling better and stronger. Congrats on being in tip top shape! You are an athlete!!! Sorry about the whole icky process, maybe you can still practice the old fashioned way for fun...

Its only 3pm, but i'll update on today.

Eating

1/2 cup toasted mueslie with a serve of yoplait fat free forme yoghurt

1 slim secrets morning rev up bar

Dinner will be grilled steak with a baby baked potato (in foil) with some WW sour cream, WW cheese and low fat grilled ham and pepper gravy on the steak. God, I haven't had a potato in ages!

I've had a few lemon teas, 2ltrs water, a coffee and a sugar free V drink.

2 10min walks and about 30mins housework which I really didn't feel like doing but if I don't do it, no one will

Not as swollen and bloated today but still feeling tired, sore and emotional.

I can't wait till I feel well enough to exercise again...it sucks being limited to next to nothing

You never know Fi, if you have the IVF going and the old fashined way going, you have double the chance.

My hubby and I tried for months before i became pregnant, luckily i didn't have to go through IVF, i tried some other methods first - even my legs up in the air afterward...haha (seriously) and this saliva test thing called 'maybe baby' that tells you when you are most fertile, i also even rubbed this fertility statue in the Ripley's Believe it or not museum on the Gold Coast and shortly after that holiday found out i was pregnant...(I let them know and they sent me a certificate).....perhaps corny, but perhaps it helped...who can say.

My parents tried for YEARS to have babies, they got married at :mum 19, dad 25 and by the time mum was 32 and dad 38, they still hadn't had any luck so they thought they were unable to have children. IVF wasn't around then & so because they really wanted a child they adopted my brother. Now i don't know if that took the pressure off and they just relaxed and stopped stressing and trying so hard, but 2 years later i came along......so anyway what i'm trying to say is the odds are in your favour now with medicine as advanced as it is you have a good chance of conception mate, so try to stop worrying and RELAAAAX and let the medical professionals do their job and help you on your way to parenthood.

GOODLUCK mate, i'm sure we'll be hearing of your morning sickness and pregnancy perils in no time.

I know the feeling Fiona!! We just have to trust and listen to our bodies...it will let us know when it's ready to get pumping again!

I'm so sorry you're going through such a [email protected] time....hopefully the end result will far out weigh all the pain you're going through.

Sussy, there is no nice way to say what i'm about to say so i'm just going to say it.

I know you mean well but I really don't need any advise. If anyone knows more about baby making, old wives tales, tips and tricks then it is those that are infertile. So it offends me when people that have not been through what we have been through think that they know more than us...they don't...trust me.

Second of all, the last thing we want to hear is to RELAX. Infact we hate it so much that an infertility forum that I frequent has that word censored out! I've heard all the stories about jo and jane blogs trying, then relaxing then getting pregnant. Meanwhile, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that stress causes infertility, there is plenty however that infertility causes stress.

As for keeping on trying...weve done all we can these past 18 months (things you wouldn't even thought of in a million years) and with our diagnosed problem it is virtually impossible to fall pregnant naturally. Infact, our fertility specialist told us that before IVF a couple with our problem MIGHT conceive in 7-10 years.

Infertility is the most heart wrenching thing to go through and there are reminders EVERYWHERE. Pregnancies, births, mothers and fathers day, christmas, easter, christenings, seeing other people have what you want so badly, especially when they're non deserving. The pain of those that are dealing/have dealt with infertility is something that is incomprehensible to someone that hasn't been through it, so comments like 'relax' or 'have more censored' or 'try this' make me upset, angry and annoyed that these people have no idea of our pain. Unlike a broken leg it can't be seen.

I know this was long, I hope you don't take offense but at the same time I hope i've educated a few others. I know this is a weight loss forum and not an infertility forum but I just had to say this.

Yes it can take a very long time to conceive for some couples - I am proof of this; 8 years and still going. My aunty - 15yrs, My in laws 19 years. However couples that go through IVF have already tried everything. A fertility specialist doesnt see you unless you have already gone through the testing, the IUI process and years of trying. For some couples they are running out of time and IVF is there last hope of conceiving a child. I'm sure Fiona has already tried & investigated every other alternative there is to conceive.

Sorry to hijack Fiona. You know I share your pain on this.

You're perfect proof of someone that is going through IF and how only they understand.

And thats right, you have to be trying for 12 months before a FS will see you, then you have to be invaded upon my numerous tests, then wait, then start.

I don't think that Fiona is asking you to not voice your opinion Suse. It's just a very sensitive topic for alot of people. Alot of couples that are IF live in silence as its very hard for anyone to understand unless they themselves are going through it.

Sussy, I know what you said came from a good place, truly I do. Would you mind watching the video link I posted? It takes a while to load but it will give you a whole new understanding, it really will.

I've had so many insensitive comments that I could write a novel about and i'm just over it, so I think I lashed out at you from lots of build up and i'm sorry for doing that but at the same time I think its something people need to know.
