Thanks girls!

Well, its updatey time!

Last week was an absolute shocker for me. We're about to start fertility treatment but before that I had to go in for internal ultra sound and just yesterday was in surgery for half the day being tested for everything under the sun. Knowing tha this was all coming up had me in such a state where I literally for a whole week sat and ate to the point of physically making myself sick. I didn't want the food but just couldn't stop eating. I just emotionally ate for a week straight as a way I guess of dealing with everything.

The op went well and the specialist said I am in tip top shape, internally I am how he would love every woman who wants to get pregnant to be so I was thrilled!

When they tested my resting pulse rate and blood pressure they commented that I must be super fit and healthy. My resting pulse rate was 40BPM and in recovery my machine kept sounding off for the nurses to come in because it was so low!!! My blood pressure (can't remember what it was, too groggy lol) they said was perfect and they asked me if I was an athlete!!!

So I am on strict R&R for 1 week and am VERY sore, but mentally I feel good again and tomorrow will be my official starting day to get back on the health train.

I will be getting back into good eating habbits and this week will do 3-5 10 minute walks a day, then the following week build up again as I get better, I am in a lot of pain right now.

I dread to think what I weigh now, somewhere in the 60's for sure but I am not going to look because I just don't need anymore stress!!!!

What an emotional rollercoaster this last week has been...I would never have got through it without Helen, so thankyou my darling girl, you've been the best, and i'm wondering when i'm going to receive your counselling bill in the mail

I will use this thread each day to write about my eating and light exercise and don't know when I will weigh in again, but it won't be for a few weeks at least.

I feel dreadful that I let myself go the way I did for a whole week, I binged like a hippo but I seriously had NO control, I was powerless...no more though, the Fi you all know is back!!!

Thanks Sussy, no fun baby making for us though, hormone injections, egg collections, sperm collections, a room full of doctors and nurses and surgical instruments will kinda take the joy out of it!!!

Oh Fi :( I am so sorry you have to endure all those test. At the end of it, you'll be blessed with a bub. Might even have twins :D. I've heard a lot of women who have undergone IVF treatment giving birth to twins.

Don't worry about your slip up last week. We all have moments in time when we can't control our eating, no matter how much we try and resist and implement strategies. I don't think the damage of one week of out of control eating would have resulted in all the weight coming back on.

There have been stressful times especially at the beginning of my weight loss journey where I was losing and gaining the same weight all because of emotional eating.

You are one strong lady, and you have some great support.

Ok, gotta add a few things to my list

1 tim tam
1 shortbread biscuit
1/2 a medium sized lindt easter egg

I was out of control for 10 minutes but managed to get it together before I demolished the whole packet of tim tams :x

So thats another 500 or so calories.

I can't wait to see my naturopath on Tuesday to see if she can help me with this emotional eating.

Once again I wasn't hungry I just ate it coz it was there, and here I was thinking I was all junk food out
