Hey Sassi,
The instructor is a Tae Kwon Do specialist, he is ranked 5th black belt in the world.
He runs heaps of different classes. You can go for belts and things in actual TKD classes or do the fitness type classes which is what I want to do.
The cardio combat is very similar to tae bo but more just solid kicking and punching combos and less ab work exercises.
The one I did this morning is called Kick Fit class. Basically for the first 5-10mins it is running, jogging, knee lifts around a large foam mat, stopping for push ups and sit ups. Then a few stretches for 5 mins, then 40 mins of alternating between a punching bag and trainers with mits on, each circuit going for 2-3 minutes. Punching bag is just punching flat out, the trainers will yell out combos to you for example - right jab, left hook, right uppercut, left leg kick, right leg kick etc, heaps of dif combos though.
Then the last 10-15mins are various partnered exercises. One of them was you had a distance of about 10mtrs from your partner, you had to run up to them, they'd yell out how many punches you had to do (between 1-10) then after that you'd run back to the poll, then up to them again and repeat this for 3 sets of 1min20secs - HARD WORK! Another one was for 2mins, 10 punches, 1 push up, 10 punches, 1 push up then the last one was run for 5-10mtrs (around the mat which is 5x10mtrs) then at each corner stop and punch 2 punches and do that all the way around, then increase by 2 punches at each new lap, do this until you get up to 10 punches.
Next class I want to try is freestyle kickboxing as I love KB - I did it 6yrs ago for a year. But its only on 1 night a week at 7pm and am not ready to sacrifice TBL

Thats why I did the 6:30am class this morning so I wouldn't miss TBL. Addicted much?

Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.
Just enjoying the new and improved healthy me and embracing my new lifestyle!
