Molligrub Returns (Again!)

Postby molligrub » Wed Mar 26, 2008 7:16 am

Hi everyone, I'm back YET again!

Haven't been posting in a long time (have still been reading though) and have been very caught up in my uni studies etc, and have managed to put on a bit of weight. Weight now back up to around 55.7kg (and fairly flabby with that, no muscle gain there unfortunately), due to almost non-stop overeating for the last couple of months, and lots of convenience food.

So last night I worked out a plan of attack - went shopping and bought enough ingredients to make up 4 different batches of meals (vegetable slice, tofu tuscan stirfry, moussaka, tuna bake) and will be freezing them so I don't need to rely on processed food when I'm too tired to cook.

So here goes......

Lets see how I go this time!!

Plan for today:
BF: all-bran with full cream milk, 2tsp sugar, coffee.
MT: bunch of grapes.
L: vegetable slice. Diet coke
AT: apple.
Dinner: tofu stirfry. Diet coke
Supper: 2 crackers and cheese, tea.

Exercise: swimming, walking

Hi everyone, sorry it's been awhile since I've updated. Medical school is keeping me hopping!!

Well, last week I did the Mooloolaba triathlon - 1.5km swim, 40km ride, 10km run and I did it all in 3hr 18min. I was pretty chuffed!

Weight around 54.7kg - just hovering around due to fluid retention etc.

I have started myself on a very high fibre, lowish fat (mainly good fats) diet, and my goal is to hit 50kg around the 24 June 08. That's just under 1/2 kilo per week, which is definately doable. I may not want to get that low, I'll just evaluate on the way down! But I think having my original goal of only a couple kilos less than what I am now is causing me to sit on my laurels, so to speak, and just think "oh I'm not too far away a little bit of this or that won't matter'!

Hopefully having a larger goal (even if I don't get there) will give me more incentive.

BF: 2 pieces burgen bread, 50g vege bolognese mix, 25g lite ricotta cheese. Coffee.
MT: 1 carrot, cottage cheese. Coffee
Lunch: Tofu and vegetable stirfry. Banana. 1/2 mandarin. Coffee.
AT: 45g all-bran, 2tsp sugar, 1/2 cup skim milk. 1 cruskit and 25g sweet chilli cottage cheese. Coffee.
Dinner: 50g wholemeal pasta, 100g vege bolognese, 50g lite ricotta cheese.
Supper: 1 piece noble rise wholemeal bread, olive spread, jam. Tea.

Total = 1600cals
DEFICIT = 600cals

Hi Molli, welcome back. Know what you mean about uni. I'm sure they call it universe-ity because whenever I go there by butt gets big enough to take up the whole universe!!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

Back again. Seem to post in here very infrequently lately! I browse around every day, but sometimes just feel too tired to do any more typing. Am on a study week at the moment, so have been trying to cram stuff in. Exams not for another 2 months though, phew!!

Eating has been so-so. Am getting back into a better routine since I've been home this week. Like everyone else on this forum, I've been hit by the binge-monster badly over the last 2 weeks or so.

Weight yesterday 54.9kg, weigh in again next week. At least I'm not really gaining!

Hi guys!! I am still hovering around. Things are going pretty well despite it being the lead up to the exams in a month. Major study overload. Have finally managed to break the bingeing cycle, and have gone 2 weeks with no bingeing whatsoever, which is around a 5 year record for me!!!! Eating well and really starting to get into the exercise again. It has been a bit hard to exercise because I am still finding my way around (only lived here 4 months so far) and it is very easy to get lost running or on the bike!! I now have a new training buddy though, so its company for the longer rides and runs.

Got up at 0430 am this morning and did a 45km ride, and have a 5km run planned for this ave as well as about 15 hours of study I need to do!! :shock:

Good luck with your exams! I know how tempting it is to live on nothing but junk food when the study load builds up. Good on you for sticking to healthy food!
