I weigh in every sunday, I might sneak a peek during the week, but only if I think I am going well.
Brief bit about me:
I am 19 years old and live in Hobart, Tasmania. I was born in Gothenburg in Sweden, and moved to Tassie when I was about four years old. I am not of Swedish descent however, i wish!
I finished up my schooling last year, and applied for a business + arts degree at Tas Uni. I got in but after a few weeks deferred as I got a job as a media planner/buyer in an advertising agency. I am really really enjoying it.
I have had problems with my weight all my life practically. I had EDNOS for ten years, and I believe I have fully recovered. My lowest weight was 45kg, and at 170cm tall it wasnt pretty. I guess I was at the other end of the spectrum with weight problems, but it did a lot of damage like obesity. So during year 11 I gained a lot of weight, and I was very happy.
So im now on a plan that me and my doctor came up with, kind of rebuilding everything I lost, building back up my metabolism and focusing on reducing fat % and increasing muscle %. Although I was only 62kg my body fat % was considered overweight.
So we set a goal of 54kg, but I reckon I would be happy at 56 or 55.
Initially she didnt want me to count calories, I felt a little out of control so I counted for a few weeks. Now im back to just eating sensibly.
I still have treats every day, im a major sweet addict. I have enough control not to binge though, and I rarely do anymore.
So I just try to control my portion size, and make sure I get fruit and vegies every day! And drink lots of water - to help with my skin too.
And exercise 5 times a week!
Why am I doing this?
I want to be healthy. I basically havent been healthy for most of my life, I dont know what a proper meal is because I have had such a bad relationship with food.
So theres my life story lol!
