Doctor Who

Postby EvilWombatQueen » Thu Jun 26, 2008 10:22 pm

Doctor Who starts again on Sunday 29 June (this coming Sunday) at 7.30pm on ABC1.

WOO HOO!

I don't know if anyone else here is a fan, but I've been suffering major withdrawal symptoms while it's been off the air!

Apparently after that it will then be on every Saturday at 7.30pm. Looks like I'll be staying home on weekends for the forseeable future!

Double squee!

The BBC have put up an 8 minute video that links season 3 to the Christmas special that will be showing next Sunday. If you're a fan from the old days you'll love it!

I can't embed objects here so I'm afraid you'll have to follow this link to YouTube.
Warning! Some of the titles in the sidebar clips give slight spoilers for future episodes.

I love the new Doctor Who series.

But I miss Rose. And I also prefer Chris Eccleston (sp?) to David Tennant.

I used to prefer Christopher Eccleston, but I've really warmed to David Tennant and now he's my favourite Doctor. My sister swears she'll never speak to me again over this since she's a huge CE fan.

And I have to admit that personally I prefer Martha to Rose. I just like the fact that she's so clever. I've always preferred the clever companions. My absolute fave was Romana (her second regeneration above all). Not only could she hold her own against the Doctor, she seemed to spend most of her time correcting his mistakes.

Now if they could just figure out a way to bring Romana back I'd be very happy indeed! Hey, they brough the Master back so it could happen!

Yep, it's the Titanic one - 'Voyage of the Damned'. It's the Christmas special and it's on tonight (Sunday 29 June) at 7.30pm on ABC1.

I saw the preview screening at the Jam Factory this morning and it's really, really good! Friends of mine won tickets and asked us last night if we wanted to go. I've never seen Doctor Who on the big screen before. I'm so glad I went, even though I'm really tired now. And I'm definitely watching it again tonight.

Whoops! It turns out Doctor Who is on every Sunday at 7.30pm, not Saturday like I first said. I'd read that on a fan website which turned out to be wrong. I wish I could edit my first post otherwise someone could end up trying to watch it on the wrong night!

I agree. Donna Noble is now my second favourite companion of all time. (Romana II is still number one!)
