Good luck guys, you will be able to do it providing you stay focused and don't allow yourself to justify excuses to yourself like I used to. I am not familiar with what restriction varicose veins place on you physically, but would you be able to join a pool, swimming laps is something that has little impact on your joints and limbs but is a fantastic cardio workout.

Hello there guys, I am only new to the weight loss forum. But I have been on the weight loss kick for just over a year now and have currently lost 55.5 kgs, which I am excited about. I started off at 163.7 kgs and currently weigh 108.2 kgs and have another 8 to go. But it is great to have some where I can talk to other blokes who are going through the highs and lows. So congratulations and good luck to all who are untaking the weightloss journey.

Thanks for that anthony88, and congratulations to you for your weightloss so far, 17 kgs is a great acheivement. My diet secret is that I am on Jenny Craig as well as a fairly regular daily routine of 30 min on either the exercise bike or X trainer, then another 30 min walking my dogs then finishing up with some ab work and light weights every 2nd day as well as the occassional aerobics workout at our local hall. As you can probably tell I don't live in a very big centre, and there is no local gym, the nearest is 65kms away, but if you can join your local gym, they will make starting alot easier. The reason I am on Jenny Craig is just for the sheer conveniance, as I do shiftwork. So this just makes things so much more easier for me, I don't have to think to much, just follow the menu plan. Anyway mate, thanks again for the reply and look forward to following your weight loss progress.

yeah i tried light and easy.. but i absoulty hated, i couldnt even pretend to like it and just eat it. mabe i should try jenny craig.. although my eatin habits are preety good not its just an exercise plan that i need to work on.. at this stage im just doing half and hour on my treadmil at home everyday.. i need to start introduing other things..

some before and after photos would be good, seeing you have came so far and is a great motivation for the rest of us..

All I can say mate is, you will find out what works for you. Jenny Craig is what is good for me, but I know that it may not be for every one. It is good now because I can choose what I have in my menu, which normally consists of sheperds pie, lasagne, beef pies and the jenny craig equivalent of a chocolate bar. So it is not to bad because I am eating so of the things I did before, so I am not craving them. But it is great that you are doing the treadmill, the only thing I can suggest is to try your local gym. I used to go to a Goodlife gym before I moved for work, and it was fantastic. I told them I just wanted to keep losing weight and to tone up, so they had me on the bike, x trainer and treadmill on oneday and the next would be some light weights doing about 12 - 15 reps with no more than 20 - 30 secs break in between sets, then finish with 30 mins on the treadmill. But like I said this is what has worked for me. As for the before and after photos, well I don't want to scare people away from the forum Anyway all the best and keep up the good work.
